In my role as executive director, I have the privilege of traveling around the state to meet with early learning providers, child advocates, parents, lawmakers, FACCM board members, and community leaders. What each has in common is hope for the future and passion for student success and lifelong learning. How we get there can sometimes be a different story. It is my mission to solve these problems and advance early learning in the continuum of education.
Here at FACCM, we are operating with an abundance of energy and excitement to bring our members new and improved services and benefits as part of your annual membership. FACCM has been hard at work on our new website. Recognizing that our members are busy and on the go, we transitioned to a multi-device responsive website so that our members will be able to utilize the FACCM website while looking at their smartphones, tablets, laptops, and iPads. We hope that you find your experience with it both user-friendly and enjoyable. Our goal is to make the information easier to find and more timely. If you have any questions or comments about the site in general, or anything in particular, please let us know.
In early 2014, we introduced the CORE program to complement our successful APPLE and SEEDs programs. The CORE uniquely focuses on helping our members' professional development needs. Whether you are seeking a CDA or FCCPC, renewing your credentials, or looking to foster career growth and progression; the CORE is here to help you. In 2017, we launched Accreditation in a Box, which was an immediate success. We will continue to build courses to assist you with training staff on how to maintain APPLE standards, and at the same time offering CEUs or in-service hours. Our Boot Camps, which also act as regional meetings to connect with our members, continues to draw hundreds of existing members and new centers looking for an APPLE crash course and management classes like Reaching Parents Through Social Media, CEU 101: Creating Your Own Continuing Education Classes for Your School, Hiring and Orientation: Setting the Tone for the Employee Relationship, and many more.
Also, in May of 2017, we will launch our stand-alone Aftercare Accreditation, SAUCE. SAUCE is Gold Seal approved, which provides the same benefits as APPLE for our Aftercare only programs. Last but not least, over the last few years, we have slowly expanded nationally. We are authorized and/or doing business in Minnesota, Oklahoma, and North Carolina.
As you and your centers face new challenges, we would love to hear from you. We are here to represent you and support you. Thank you for taking care of Florida’s children and the families you serve.
All the best,Ellyn Setnor Bogdanoff
